Personalised cakes that are pretty, sweet, and pretty sweet!
Pretty sweet cakes started off in my kitchen in August 2011...... now, it is still in my kitchen.
I stumbled into making cakes, after trying every other form of creativity from photography to fashion design, I found something I could ACTUALLY do. I am self-taught, from the wonderful world of youtube, google and trial and error. I have since bought books and attended basic cake making classes at the Findon Community Centre.
I make all my cakes from scratch, you'll find no Sara Lee, Greens or White Wings packets in my house. I make all my icings from scratch, including fondant although I will very, VERY, occasionally use commercially made fondant for modelling. I use good quality ingredients as well, I figure that if I'm putting that much time into making something so special, it may as well taste special too.
Cake Flavours:
- Dark choc mud cake
- White choc mud cake
- Vanilla (butter) cake
- Red velvet cake
Icings:
- Buttercream
- Royal icing
- Dark choc ganache
- White choc ganache
- Marshmallow fondant (usually called MMF)
These are the only types of cakes I have ever had requested but they are not the only types of cake I can use, so if you have a preference for fruit cake, coconut, or lemon cake etc, let me know and I can test them out!
I have a recipe for gluten free cake I would like to try out one day as well if someone is gluten intolerant.
Price varies on the following factors:
- amount of cake
- type of cake
- degree of difficulty
- whether I have to deliver it
I also charge a deposit fee for sundry items such as the board, cake box, non-stick mat etc, or they can be bought outright.
I am by no means a professional cake decorator, so I never charge as much as they do. In comparison with Heidelberg cakes in Adelaide, I charge about a quarter for similar cakes. Keeping this in mind, I charge less because my cakes MAY have minor flaws and might NOT look exactly like the picture you give me. In saying this, I am yet to have an unsatisfied customer!

Unfortunately cake making is only a side hobby for me, so due to other life commitments I cannot guarantee that I will always be able to make your cakes for you. Please message me well in advance of your event so that you aren't left short if I can't make it.
